This book aims to use concepts such as identity, image and translation, thus intersecting Imagology or Image Studies with Descriptive Translation Studies, to analyse the images generated by the works of Gonzaga Gomes. This study offers the results of extensive research carried out in the Portuguese National Library to map the publications by Gonzaga Gomes as well as a paratextual and textual analysis, so as to unveil the poetic and ideological considerations of Gonzaga Gomes about Macanese identity.
