The book is about the reform of large and medium scale state enterprises which is called "key of transition from central planning to socialist market economy". Inthis book, there are some interesting analysis of different "case studies" concerning several processes of reform: merger and acquisition, "improved" contract responsibility system, leasing, shareholding and business group. Looking at these cases, we can understand the originality and pragmatism of the Chinese economic reformers.
