摘要

This paper studies the notion of 'lusofonia' as promoted in Macao’s theatre festivals as well as its expansion in Macao. It argues that, after the Handover, Macao has been transformed as a whole into the symbolic stage for a continual and thematic-dominant stream of events organised as part of the reaffirmation of the city’s lusophone image.
